Introducing the Social Media Benchmark

The Social Media Benchmark is a new, rolling six-monthly study exploring how marketers are adapting to, investing in and getting value from social media. Brought to you by The Chartered Institute of Marketing and supported by Ipsos ASI and Bloomberg, our aspiration is to create the definitive guide to the changing role and potential of social media in business.

Our approach

The Social Media Benchmark is designed as a rolling six-monthly survey, enabling us to explore new issues as they emerge, whilst also maintaining the ability to develop trend data on core topics over time. Our approach:

  • All company sizes from independent consultants and SMEs to blue-chip corporates
  • International in nature, with participants spanning UK, Europe, Africa and Asia
  • Inclusive of all levels, from early-stage marketers to CMOs in major corporates
  • Research process and analysis is supported by renowned specialists Ipsos ASI
  • Insight and expert comment from social media experts Bazaarvoice
  • Media partnership and support from Bloomberg
